Academics

Built in 2023, Legacy Elementary School is our newest school in the district, and home of the Legacy Lions! This beautiful new campus serves students in 1st - 5th grade. The latest technology is at our teachers' fingertips, with interactive panels as display boards, 1:1 Chromebooks for all of our learners, document cameras in every classroom, iPads, and much more. Our teachers and staff members are dedicated to creating a positive and engaging learning environment for all students. Highly qualified teachers and staff use multi-tiered systems of support for students through small group instruction, intervention, and enrichment in order to help students reach and exceed their goals. LES is committed to building a strong foundation for our students' future success.

Our teachers, families and community members work as partners to help our students reach their full potential.  At LES, we strive to offer many opportunities that include all stakeholders. Some of our activities include Scholastic Book Fair, Family Reading Nights, STEAM Night, classroom volunteers, grade level productions, Super Kids awards ceremonies, School Advisory Council, field trips and many more.

Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) is a program that has been implemented for many years in the Baker County School District and is utilized at LES to reward positive behavior. These rewards and incentives are designed to be engaging and fun activities that students earn based on positive behavior.  Some of these rewards include nachos parties, bingo, extra recess and school dances.

In addition to the regular school day, Legacy Elementary School offers before and after school enrichment activities for our students. Some of these opportunities are STEAM Club, ROC (Relying on Christ), Just Say No, Paw Patrol (safety), and Lion’s Roar (chorus).

At Legacy Elementary School, we are Learning with Pride, Leaving a Legacy!
